4 tips to make the most of Noite Branca

The (best and) largest Noite Branca in Europe takes place in Braga and, if you are in town between September 1 and 3 2017, you will certainly not want to miss this unique event!

It’s 48 hours of non-stop programs, with music, art and culture flowing through the streets. It’s 12 concerts in two stages and over 20 shows and performances. Not to mention the special programs of some of the museums in the city and the 40 hours of activities aimed at children.

With so much happening in the city, it’s easy to lose track, but fear not because Taste Braga has 4 tips to help you make the most of Noite Branca.

  1. Check the programming carefully and make your plan

Noite Branca offers a great variety of cultural programs that meet the preferences of diversified publics and, sometimes, they can occur simultaneously. There are gorgeous places to visits, shows and performances to attend and also many other activities to make, at all times. In order to at least take a look of the things that most interest you, you should check the extensive programming carefully and develop a plan in which you include the spots you really don’t want to miss.

  1. Use public transportations

With thousands and thousands of people invading Braga’s historical center, parking a car can become a headache and a complete waste of time, so, take advantage of organization’s partnership with Comboios de Portugal (CP) and Transportes Urbanos de Braga (TUB).

If you come from out of town, use the trains of Porto’s line and, for 2 euros, do the round trip. Braga’s train Station is 10 minutes way on foot from where everything is happening.

If you are in the city already but a bit far from the center, you can use TUB buses, in a different way and for a special price. Leave your car on one of the three interfaces – located on Avenida Robert Smith, by E.Leclerc and by Braga’ Stadium – and take the bus to Avenida Central or Praça Conde de Agrolongo. The average wait is 5 minutes and, between 7pm and 5am of the days 1 and 2, you will be able to make the round trip for 1 euro.

  1. Take the opportunity to taste the best of Braga’s restaurants

On these days, most of the city’s restaurants and business spaces also dress in white and they become full of not only people but also vitality and energy. And, of course, in Minho’s way, great food is also there. So, since you are spending the night and/or the day out, take the opportunity to get to know the best of Braga’s restaurants, while you enjoy the vibrations of the party.

  1. Don’t forget to wear white

To fit in in the party, don’t forget to at least wear a white t-shirt. The effect on the pictures is much better when most of the visitors wear the same color, don’t you agree?
